From brief to finished film.

How we filmed veterans returning to Normandy.

01 · The brief

Capture a once-in-a-generation event

The Legion wanted a film that honoured the veterans and showed supporters what the commemorations meant to them.

03 · The outcome

A tribute supporters could share

A 1 min 41 sec film that ends with a call to pay tribute to the Second World War generation. Shared across online, digital and social channels.

02 · Our approach

Stay close to the veterans

We travelled with the veterans and filmed their journey, the moments of reflection and the ceremony itself, cut to music without commentary.

04 · What we delivered

One journey, filmed with care

Event film, 1 min 41 sec
Filming across several days in the UK and France
