From brief to finished film.

How we turned a thank-you into a film about the difference it made.

01 · The brief

Say thank you, and show the difference

The Poppy Appeal depends on thousands of volunteers and supporters. The Royal British Legion wanted to thank them properly, and show them exactly where their support went.

03 · The outcome

A thank-you, told by the people it helped

A 2 min 15 sec film that credits supporters with more than 30 million poppies distributed and over 16,000 grants worth more than £9m, then hands over to the veterans themselves. Shared across online, digital and social channels.

02 · Our approach

From the collection tin to the people it helps

As the Legion's year-round video production partner, we followed the Poppy Appeal from volunteers collecting at stations and on city streets to the Fields of Remembrance, and on to the Legion's recovery, sport and support services. Veterans and family members speak directly to camera, with simple title cards carrying the headline numbers between their stories.
