Documentary film · Royal British Legion

Two veterans. One long-overdue conversation.

A short documentary for the Royal British Legion. Barrie and Chris both served in the Royal Navy during the Falklands War. We brought them back together by the sea in Portsmouth to talk about HMS Sheffield, the friends who didn’t come home, and why talking about it has made it easier.

How we filmed Falklands at 40.

01 · The brief

Encourage veterans to talk

The Legion wanted a film for the Falklands anniversary that would encourage veterans to talk about their experiences and reach out for support.

03 · The outcome

A film with a clear call to action

A 2 min 10 sec documentary that closes with the Legion’s support line, plus two pre-roll edits. Shared across online, digital and social channels.

02 · Our approach

A reunion, filmed as a conversation

We reunited two shipmates on the Portsmouth seafront and filmed them in conversation, with individual interviews against the old harbour walls and the names on the memorial.
